Update On My Life - Back to Basics With the 21 Day Fix

Here is an update with what all has been going on in my life these past few months.

I have been off social media for a while, and I really appreciate all of the messages from everyone asking if I am okay because you haven't seen me online in a while. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am fine. I just have a lot going on in my life right now and have some tough decisions ahead of me to make. Nothing serious, so no need to worry! :) With that being said, I will tell you that I started a job that has kept me very busy, I have been trying to conduct research so I can write a paper that will hopefully get published, and my dad has been suffering from some medical issues. That has taken up a lot of my time and has had me stressed to the max for a while.

Even though I have been very busy, I have been working out everyday, drinking my shakeology, and trying to eat as healthy as I can. I am trying not to sabotage myself that way. Stress usually makes me want to eat ALL THE TIME, eat foods that are bad for me, and hide from everything. With the exception of the later, I have not eaten terribly (with the exception a the occasional ice cream), and have eaten fairly clean and healthy because I plan out all of my meals.

Exercise really is good for the soul. It allows me time to focus on me and what all I can do in situations that I can control. Everything else, I can just pray things work out the way they are meant to.  I usually take it easy on Sundays with my workouts to allow my body time to rest. So, instead of working out today, I spent the day with my husband and mother-in-law fishing.
I am not a "girlie girl" by any means, but I HATE things slimy. When the day started, they were the ones baiting my hook and taking the fish off for me haha. By the end of the day, I was doing it all by myself! :) It was nice to take the day and just do something relaxing for a change, instead of going 100 miles an hour all the time.

On to the point of this post. Accountability and support are the keys to my success in everything I do - working out, school work, my job, every aspect of my life. I would not be where I am today without the support of my family and friends and the accountability I take for my won decisions and for my Beachbody family when it comes to my health.  I say Beachbody family because that is what it is. We are a family - we support one another, we are a shoulder to lean on when we are feeling down, we are motivators to one another. Without the support of my Beachbody coach and other coaches on the team, I would not have been able to be as successful in my weight loss journey as I have been. The constant encouragement, pep talks, guidance, support, motivation, etc. has been what has made me reach goal after goal.

I have been on Shakeology for almost a year, and have been doing Beachbody workout since September 2014. Since then, I have lost about 75 pounds! Yes, you read that correctly. 75 POUNDS!! But, it isn't about what I have lost. It is about what I have GAINED! My confidence and self-esteem are at an all time high! Being able to see results is what motivates me to keep working towards my goals. This is what also DRIVES me to help as many others reach their health and fitness goals as I can.

You know what? It all started with a decision to TRY! Give it 21 days to see if the program worked. I will be honest, I was skeptical that I would be starving on this program. I could not have been more wrong! I was never hungry! I remember thinking to myself, "There is no way that I can lose weight eating this much food!" It isn't the amount of food that you eat, it is the quality of food. Eating healthy allows you to eat more food, and eating every 2-3 hours keeps your metabolism revved up. That's the key to success. The 21 Day Fix is my all-time favorite program because IT WORKS! Plain and simple. The support from the challenge group makes you want to do your best.

Why not you? Why not give yourself the opportunity to create a new lifestyle? It is only 21 days. You can do anything for 21 days! Trust me on this! I will help you make your meal plans, help hold you accountable, provide you with support, and give you a place where you can be you without worrying about how people will react. Everyone has a bad day, and with the challenge group, we support each other and help you stay on track. Everyone deserves to have some "ME TIME." The workouts in this program are only 30 minutes (2% of your day). You don't have to be in peak performance to do these workouts. They are for every fitness level. Anybody can do it! Join me for my next challenge group, starting June 22nd! Help hold me accountable with my health, and I promise to do the same for you! Limited spots available, so hurry up and reserve yours before they are all gone!

Progress - Weeks 5 & 6

Weeks 5 & 6 were a bit hectic for me.  I know that I could have put forth more effort during my workouts, and I even skipped a few.  However, I am in the process of training for my first ever 5K on March 14th, and spent a lot of time shoveling snow.

With that being said, I am continuing to get stronger each day, and am continuing to lose weight.  I am down a total of 20 pounds on P90 and still have one month to go!  Today starts Phase C, and I have not done my workout yet.  I will as soon as I finish this post.

Phase B - I'm glad it is over, but I am also thinking I should extend it a week or two.  I am able to almost do full pushups now :) and I don't need the modifications for any of the moves anymore.  That is proof in and of itself that my strength is continuing to increase.  I like variety in my workouts, and with this program, it is the same 2 workouts that alternate each day.  That is my only complaint.

Ab Ripper B was intense, but I made sure I got it in at least 4 times a week.  I am beginning to see my middle becoming more defined, especially my upper abs.  I can feel the outline of my obliques, and have a slimmer core.  I may eventually have abs!!! Once I get the rest of this excess weight off, that is!

I could not be happier with my progress so far with Beachbody.   Since starting my Beachbody and Shakeology journey, I am down a total of 60 pounds! I don't think I could have done this without the help of my Beachbody coach, and the support groups that I have participated in.  This is what drives me to want to help others reach their fitness goal! So they, too, can feel this excitement that I feel with my progress so far.

If you are interested in joining my next support group, fill out the application below, or send an email to keilaorr@gmail.com.  I would love to help you work towards your fitness goals!

Kayla's Transformation!

AHHH! I am so excited for this transformation!!

Kayla and I have been best friends since we met in Kindergarten over 25 years ago.  We have been there to support and encourage each other over the years, and I consider her a sister.  although we now live about 8 hours apart, we are still there for one another.

Kayla has always been fairly active, being around animals her entire life.  She is currently a vet tech, owns 2 gorgeous dogs and a horse, and is married to her high school sweetheart! Like a lot of people, sometimes workouts and healthy eating aren't always a top priority, but once Kayla started making them a priority again, she began seeing incredible results!  Here is her story.

Kayla started out doing T25 several months ago, but got frustrated once she hit a plateau.  She needed a little boost to get her over it so she could continue losing weight and reach her goal.  She reached out to me about Shakeology, the 3 Day Refresh, and asked to join one of my challenge groups to see if that would help.  In early January, she completed the 3 Day Refresh and began drinking Shakeology.  She has not only broken through her plateau, but has lost enough weight to almost make it to her goal ahead of schedule!  This girl is a rock star!

She has been rocking the challenge groups! Kayla not only posts daily about how she did on her food, workout, and Shakeology, but she also is a great inspiration, supporter and motivator to the other challengers.  Being in the challenge groups really helps to keep you motivated to reach your goals.  It is also a place you can go to vent if you are having a bad day, and get picked up by those who are going through the same struggles as you.  I am so proud to not only have Kayla as a challenger, but also as a great friend.

I'm not going to post specific numbers because Kayla is not quite where she wants to be yet, but she will be soon.  Since starting T25, she has lost a total of 25 pounds and 16.5 total inches! AMAZING! Kayla, you are killing it! Keep up the fantastic work!

If you want to have success like Kayla, join me in one of my challenge groups! I would love to work with you!

Progress: Weeks 3 & 4

I continue to feel really great with this program!  The moves are getting easier, and I can feel myself getting stronger.  I am down a total of 13 pounds in the first month (Phase A) and a total of 10 inches.  My husband continues to comment on how strong I am getting and is seeing more definition in my arms, legs, and back.  I love the confidence I am gaining in myself!

I am excited to start Phase B and see what results I can get from that.  For the next month, I will be switching things up and doing Sculpt 3 days a week and Sweat 2 days a week.  I want to get stronger and feel as though switching things up will help me reach my goal faster.

As a way to celebrate my birthday and new lifestyle, I signed up for my first ever 5k race! I am going to try and run as much as possible, so I will need to start training for that in conjunction with using P90. I am excited and nervous to do this, but it has been on my bucket list for a while, and I finally feel like I am able to complete it.

If you would like to join me and start a fitness journey of your own, comment below, email me, for fill out the form below and I would love to help you!
