Update On My Life - Back to Basics With the 21 Day Fix

Here is an update with what all has been going on in my life these past few months.

I have been off social media for a while, and I really appreciate all of the messages from everyone asking if I am okay because you haven't seen me online in a while. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am fine. I just have a lot going on in my life right now and have some tough decisions ahead of me to make. Nothing serious, so no need to worry! :) With that being said, I will tell you that I started a job that has kept me very busy, I have been trying to conduct research so I can write a paper that will hopefully get published, and my dad has been suffering from some medical issues. That has taken up a lot of my time and has had me stressed to the max for a while.

Even though I have been very busy, I have been working out everyday, drinking my shakeology, and trying to eat as healthy as I can. I am trying not to sabotage myself that way. Stress usually makes me want to eat ALL THE TIME, eat foods that are bad for me, and hide from everything. With the exception of the later, I have not eaten terribly (with the exception a the occasional ice cream), and have eaten fairly clean and healthy because I plan out all of my meals.

Exercise really is good for the soul. It allows me time to focus on me and what all I can do in situations that I can control. Everything else, I can just pray things work out the way they are meant to.  I usually take it easy on Sundays with my workouts to allow my body time to rest. So, instead of working out today, I spent the day with my husband and mother-in-law fishing.
I am not a "girlie girl" by any means, but I HATE things slimy. When the day started, they were the ones baiting my hook and taking the fish off for me haha. By the end of the day, I was doing it all by myself! :) It was nice to take the day and just do something relaxing for a change, instead of going 100 miles an hour all the time.

On to the point of this post. Accountability and support are the keys to my success in everything I do - working out, school work, my job, every aspect of my life. I would not be where I am today without the support of my family and friends and the accountability I take for my won decisions and for my Beachbody family when it comes to my health.  I say Beachbody family because that is what it is. We are a family - we support one another, we are a shoulder to lean on when we are feeling down, we are motivators to one another. Without the support of my Beachbody coach and other coaches on the team, I would not have been able to be as successful in my weight loss journey as I have been. The constant encouragement, pep talks, guidance, support, motivation, etc. has been what has made me reach goal after goal.

I have been on Shakeology for almost a year, and have been doing Beachbody workout since September 2014. Since then, I have lost about 75 pounds! Yes, you read that correctly. 75 POUNDS!! But, it isn't about what I have lost. It is about what I have GAINED! My confidence and self-esteem are at an all time high! Being able to see results is what motivates me to keep working towards my goals. This is what also DRIVES me to help as many others reach their health and fitness goals as I can.

You know what? It all started with a decision to TRY! Give it 21 days to see if the program worked. I will be honest, I was skeptical that I would be starving on this program. I could not have been more wrong! I was never hungry! I remember thinking to myself, "There is no way that I can lose weight eating this much food!" It isn't the amount of food that you eat, it is the quality of food. Eating healthy allows you to eat more food, and eating every 2-3 hours keeps your metabolism revved up. That's the key to success. The 21 Day Fix is my all-time favorite program because IT WORKS! Plain and simple. The support from the challenge group makes you want to do your best.

Why not you? Why not give yourself the opportunity to create a new lifestyle? It is only 21 days. You can do anything for 21 days! Trust me on this! I will help you make your meal plans, help hold you accountable, provide you with support, and give you a place where you can be you without worrying about how people will react. Everyone has a bad day, and with the challenge group, we support each other and help you stay on track. Everyone deserves to have some "ME TIME." The workouts in this program are only 30 minutes (2% of your day). You don't have to be in peak performance to do these workouts. They are for every fitness level. Anybody can do it! Join me for my next challenge group, starting June 22nd! Help hold me accountable with my health, and I promise to do the same for you! Limited spots available, so hurry up and reserve yours before they are all gone!

14 Day Clean Eating and Shakeology Group

Now that Easter has come and gone, did you find yourself indulging in a few too many sweets and treats like me? Now you are feeling bloated and sluggish and wondering what you can do to get yourself back on track. I can help! My team is hosting a 14 day clean eating support/accountability group where we will provide you will tools to help kick off your summer body! As a bonus, we are giving away TWO gift cards to random participants in the group. What do you have to lose?

As part of this requirement, we are requiring the purchase of a 30 supply of Shakeology.  Why, do you ask? Shakeology is packed full of dense daily nutrition that provide your body with the needed nutrients to function properly.  I have been drinking Shakeology daily for about 8 months now, and have noticed my energy has increased, my sweet cravings have significantly decreased, my skin looks better, and my body digests food better.  Shakeology also comes with a 30 day money back guarantee if you are not completely satisfied.  So you really have nothing to lose!  Well, except for a few pounds and some extra inches ;)

As part of this month's challenge group, we are giving away a $25 Amazon gift card.  We will do a random drawing of everyone's names in the group to pick the winner.  We are also giving away a second $25 Amazon gift card to everyone who refers a challenger to the group.  Doing things with friends makes it more fun, so come one, come all! If you refer 5 people, your name will be entered 5 times.  I will also personally give away $10 to every participant who purchases the 3 Day Refresh Challenge Pack.  We want this group to be fun, informative, and a great learning opportunity for all of you.

We will kick off April 20th, 2015, but we only have a limited number of spots available! Leave a comment here, check out my Facebook page, or email me to reserve your spot before it is gone!

Why I am a Beachbody Coach

This question has come up several times for me, "Why are you a Beachbody coach?" I am going to spend some time today to answer that question as honestly as I can.

I have been overweight practically my entire life.  I was active (and good at them too!) in sports throughout high school, but I was still the fat kid. I tried working out and losing weight, but nothing seemed to work.  I would get winded walking up flights of stairs, to the cafeteria, practically anywhere I went.  I was ashamed
of how I looked and how I dressed.  I didn't care about myself enough to treat my body the way it deserved.  I never wore makeup and always wore men's clothes.  They just fit better than the more form fitting women's clothes.

By the time I went to college, my self-esteem was at an all-time low.  I was afraid of showing my feelings when I was around others, and would often times cry in my bedroom at night because I was so unhappy with myself and my body.  I know I needed to make a change, but I wasn't motivated to do so, even though I was going to school to be a Health and Physical Education TEACHER!  I picked up a waitressing job to try and get me to be more outgoing, and I was often referred to as the "big girl with a pretty face" by the customers.  The older customers, in particular, were very open about telling me I needed to lose weight.  That only pissed me off further, but I would smile and say, "I know...I am working on it."  In reality, I was doing nothing of the sort.

I know what it is like to be picked on from a very young age for being overweight/fat/heavy/big boned.  Whatever you want to call it.  People think they are helping you by bringing attention to your less than perfect body, but what they are really doing is making you feel more and more depressed.  I would keep everything bottled up inside me, and would often times starve myself during the day and not eat anything until dinner, when I would binge.  I thought cutting calories all day and eating at night would be a good way to lose weight.  It only made things worse.  For years and years I did this.  I was also an emotional eater, and still am to an extent, but now I am cognizant of that and try not to be as destructive to myself.

Fast forward 8 years out of college, and not much had changed.  The one thing that did change is that I was finally ready to make those changes.  THAT WAS HUGE! In order to be successful in your endeavors, you have to want it bad enough.  That goes for anything, not just weight loss.  I decided to give Beachbody and Shakeology a try, and I fell in love! Challenge groups were the keys to my success in losing weight.  These groups held me accountable for actually working out, eating right, and living a healthy lifestyle.  I learned so much from my coach and had such great success that I wanted to pay it forward and help others.  That is why I became a Beachbody coach.

My body image of myself was nonexistent.  I hated my body, I hated myself.  I thought that no matter what I did, I was very ugly and very fat.  I still struggle with body image, and probably always will, but I can see a change in myself, and I am so much happier than I have been in years.  My husband is my rock, my biggest fan, supporter, and motivator.  He never once doubted me or my abilities, and for that, I am forever thankful.

I want to help those, who are in a similar situation that I was, and still am to an extent.  I know what you are going through because I have been there myself.  I think that is what makes me a good coach -  my passion for helping those who need it the most.  I'm not saying that I am finished with my fitness journey...not by a long shot, but I am continuing to work towards my goals.  What I am asking you is: ARE YOU READY TO JOIN ME? If you are, fill out the form below, send me a friend request on Facebook, leave a comment, or send me an email: keilaorr@gmail.com.  My next challenge group starts April 6th!
